The Academy's Nutrition Care Process Research Outcomes (NCPRO) Committee is seeking volunteers who work in the outpatient/private practice setting or who are based internationally to serve as representatives for its Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Health Informatics Infrastructure (ANDHII) Subcommittee. An international member will add a global perspective and increase awareness of ANDHII worldwide. ANDHII is a secure online data collection tool that allows dietitians and other nutrition professionals to enter de-identified information to track the nutrition care they provide to patients and clients. ANDHII uses the Nutrition Care Process and the associated terminology (NCPT) to enable structured and systematic data capture. With this information, ANDHII enables nutrition professionals to track nutrition outcomes, adding to the evidence base for nutrition practices.
The ANDHII subcommittee is dedicated to increasing awareness and usage of ANDHII, advising on research initiatives using the registry platform, and encouraging endeavors related to ANDHII that enhance inclusivity in our profession. The following activities are examples of how these goals are met:
• Planning webinars and conference presentations, authoring and disseminating of newsletter articles
• Developing materials for ANDHII’s Help & Training page, including case study simulations for educators using ANDHII in the classroom and guides for using ANDHII in research or quality improvement projects
• Assisting with dissemination and interpretation of ANDHII user surveys and providing key input in the planning of future software development of ANDHII
Individuals with knowledge of NCPT and an interest in nutrition informatics, research, quality improvement and benchmarking are strongly encouraged to apply. Visit our online application to view desired qualifications, responsibilities and benefits. Apply by December 31, 2021, for best consideration.
